Painstakingly created from a blown-up full-frontal set photo (the one in the snow), here's my stab at the new 2010 box.

http://www.spacewarp.co.uk/who/NST_Mk3_Dave_2010.pdf

No dimensions as it's a relative plan (you see what I did there?), but if you want to gauge the result, I have a completed build in the model section.

PS mods please remove if you think the Beeb might not like this being posted

If you want to judge for yourself how accurate my plans are, look at my two model builds here:

Your plans are looking pretty good, but I have to ask what the additional ridge next to the roof caps are

And I also recommend checking out Philipw's box to get an idea of how it goes together, and where joins etc are.

A mistake, which I have amended! This is a fairly basic plan, and could be easily improved on now, using all the extra photos on the board.  But I think it's good enough for anyone wanting to make a smaller model.

http://www.spacewarp.co.uk/who/NST_Mk3_Dave_2011.pdf

In particular, the lamp is really only a placeholder. There are other sections of the board with far more detailed discussions of lamp design.  As far as model work goes, although it's a fairly simple design, it's actually quite difficult to do because the struts don't go from cap to base, they go from lamp to lamp with two 90ยบ angles in the strut.  Nightmare!

thomassmalley

what kind of sizes have you used for doors base everything really ??

lorisarvendu

Not quite sure what you mean there, but I print the plans onto A4 and work to that size. Does that help?

thomassmalley

sorry i made my self unclear
i mean like i am looking to build a police box , based on matt smith design but not to sure about sizes to do stuff

like base i was think 4'' by 4'' but i dont know what kinda size that would be to big to small
i am a first time builder , i mean i was think of doing my doors and sign to be about the size of a houses doors

but still not sure about the sizes for everything would be
help ??

This is driving me crazy. I keep going into the workshop section and looking for plans with measurements and dimensions included. The PDF's that people are posing don't have any measurements. How am I suppose to know where to start. Please SOS HELP ME!

Besides slidin_sidewayz's post above, also see my post here: http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=4622.msg53101;topicseen#msg53101. The dimensions from later in Series 1 to the present are the same for all TARDIS props; they just changed the color, phone panel, and lamp for 2010 onwards - well, and the lamp again for 2013. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.)

I do believe the posts may be larger than Series 1 of the New Series, and there are a few other physical changes like the sign box construction and the changes to the roof, the backlit Pull To Open panel as well as the way the doors go together, but yes, these lovely dimensioned pictures/links above are a lot more than what some of us had to go by when we built ours.

Just to put a small note to go with Slidin's post, the Series 5 onward boxes have taller bases (about 6" tall) and the posts are about 1.5"=2" wider.  Once I get some gumption and more free time at work (tee hee), I'll do up some Series 2005 plans.  I've got enough reference material, just need to put it all together.

I'm confused, I was thinking that the size and shape of the props have changed through the years.  Is that not correct?  Or perhaps I'm not getting the gist of your post, being confused and all  ???

I think there might be some confusion in the naming of the seasons. Dino is quite right;

1963-89 Season 1-26

2005-present Series 1-7

The dimensions of the boxes used during Series 1-7 are (broadly speaking) very similar. There was much more variation for the classic boxes. Hope that helps! :)
