For the most part, all you're really using from the Gardman-type is the top of the lamp, which you'll have to modify anyway. The anchor lamp from that Amazon link is way smaller than the other lamp; the Gardman-type is 7 inches in diameter, the anchor lamp in that link is only 3 inches.

The best Gardman-type for the price is this one; it's available with Super Saver Free Shipping direct from Amazon:

As for the anchor lamp, other members have had good luck checking ebay and some antique shops. (You'll want one that's about 14 inches tall, not counting the handle; that should give you a lamp with a diameter of about 7 inches which I believe is the correct size. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but those numbers are sticking in my head.)

I hope this helps.

Hi all, I was wondering if they are still using this lamp on the TV prop?

I haven't seen a good picture but was wondering if thy had moved across to the cheaper New Haven lamp with the new paint job.

I'm probably wrong but was wondering if anyone knew for sure,

They are using the New Haven lamp like on the promotional prop. Not sure why they didn't keep the Series 6/7A lamp unless it got broken.

I was able to order what I think is the correct Fresnel Lamp from the Anchor Lamps web site today

http://www.anchorlamps.com/BIG16LAMPS.html

Not exactly cheap at £85.50 and £28 to ship to the US.  But for what I think is the right one... I went for it.

So,i,ve been working on this series 5 tardis for a while and here is my rendition of the lamp, wich i think is quite acurrate. later tardis lamps are to come in the future. so i prensent to you the dimenssions of the ancor lamped tardis that debuted in series 5 (2009-2010 ish)

tardis D NSDW 3.png

to recreate it (so far, no work as been done on my part, i'll make sure to post that here and update this post and maybe do a video tutorial on it with paints and all)

and here's a couple link to diffrent stuff to buy for making this (dont be affraid to ad updates when the links gets broken or articles gets discontinued.

the main body of the lamps: http://www.anchorlamps.com/BIG16LAMPS.html

The top round thing first stage: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/aw/d/B00GLSAKSM/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_track_package_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(I'm linking a bird feeder that use a part of lanterne originaly used, wich as been discontibued after about 12years of production and revisions.)

for the final stage of the top round thing : i'll try to link a flatened plastic ball when i'll have found one that is 12cm in diametre.

Here's how it will look: (i made this for a new series 1 tardis, but i works the same, and i'll eventualy do the same with the series 5 lamp)

for the "niple top" i d'use some milliput.

i hope this will help.
