We have to add the lock in yet, but apart from that, she looks rather grand

The Kick-Off
You cannot see attachments on this board.
This was how it started. The original base had actually been constructed in
1996, but remained in a shed until last year.

Early Days

We decided the obvious thing to do was to construct the door side first. This
was by far the most tedious and most difficult panel to construct and
transport.

Initial View Of Side Panel

Constructed the three side panels relatively quickly. This was also the first
attempt at the signage, which proved very troublesome to say the least! This
version was white lettering on clear thick plastic. It just didn't work. We
also have lights behind each of the signs, and with this version of the sign,
the light housing was clearly visible behind it.

Back To Baseics

We found the original base we had constructed ended up being too small with
our new dimensions, so we had to add about another 3 to 4 centimetres onto
each side. Very irritating, that!

Three sides were now completed, but we still hadn't done the windows.

The Roof
You cannot see attachments on this board.
The roof was relatively easy, with four panels attached to an angled frame.

The Door Sign
You cannot see attachments on this board.
The door sign was a great deal of trouble to make, and took Jarrod many hours
of cutting out each individual letter to get the desired effect.

Illumination
You cannot see attachments on this board.
We used a standard downlight to light the inside of the box. There are also
six shelves inside, as it is a very useful storage area.

Panels Away

The four panels, with two signs attached. Not an easy task to move from house
to house!

This is the side view of our TARDIS whilst it got a brief airing outside.
