Oh wow I used to have that black boat control panel on my console. The one with the red switches and the horn. The switches are still part of my demat lever.

I had that red lever too lol! Mine was black though. I took it apart and integrated it into the boat panel... that was before I scratch built a big demat lever.

Great idea using that doorstop BTW. How's it looking overall?

Sorry, busy life atm, its looking great, harry is really happy, 2 more buttons to add and two sliders, I am trying to film it in the dark to get the full effect of the lights and buttons and the music that comes from the Central tube lights, I can't work out a way to put a video on here unfortunately I have tried, I may have to put a video on YouTube and then put a link on here, as ever I'm still waiting for things to turn up in the post, so always a work in progress....

If only I had the budget to make my own tardis console. Every switch would have a function. One switch to open a vew screen to watch DrWho or surf the net. One to pop up the tardis keyboard seen in Logopolis & Three to Doomsday for writing & net surfing. Room & console light controls, sound effects, door controls, & anything else I can think of to give all my switches & nobs a purpose. "AND ONE TO RULE THEM ALL!" Oops!, that's another show.
