Its the TARDIS... But probably not the one you're expecting.

Well actually, it is! After 8 years of work its finally here.

But in the meantime, bask in the glory of the box that will always be My TARDIS, the TV Movie version - the first I saw and adored ever since.

If you happen to be in or near Upminster tomorrow, consider dropping by Madame Who'sauds and meet the box in person 🙂 (along with a whole host of monsters and props and even Sergeant Benton himself).

Better pictures and big thank yous and shout outs coming soon...

That looks absolutely brilliant👍 The hard works paid off👍

This is looking spectacular! I half expect to see an Edwardian Paul McGann step out of it! It's so amazing to see this journey come to a close, or nearly that is. Is anyone ever truly done with their build?

David,
That looks tremendous!
Great to see a new TARDIS completed.
It's definitely worth the wait.

Now I want to see a vast amount of photos taken from every conceivable angle!

Have a great day in Upminster.
I really wanted to get along to that one, but have other plans already in place, unfortunately- but hoping to see plenty of pics of the day, please!!!

Regards,

Russell

So after what ended up being actually a really great and busy event, here are a few snaps of my box in action!

Moi and box, very proud!

From a distance, it gives such TV Movie vibes my inner fan is just buzzing.

A little visitor, or is it the next Doctor?

And with a 'Night of the Doctor' costume :-)

Again, in the background but you can see it! Here's the crew for the day, James in centre with Sergeant Benton himself - whom alas I don't think one picture exists with him and my box, booo.

And yes there is another TARDIS (of three) there, but I'll encourage James to post about that one himself ;-)

Thank you to a few people involved in the boxes build, including Rick Bush, Terry Cooper (painted the pull to sign), offspring and their cousins (including sister/brother in law) for helping paint the thing! and the companies K9 Graphics, Lead and Light, Brilliart, Next Day Paint (yes!! Paint last minute buy!!), and West End DIY.

Beautiful, just beautiful!

Are you planning on exchanging the clear windows to something translucent later down the line?

For larks I did one of those trendy click-your-fingers-and-something-changes videos:

Post-cut video isn't great, but maybe I'll update it one day :-)

Hello all, over a week ago now, I along with @MadameWhosauds (aka @pertweesfrills), the_old_girl and a few others I don't know well! were grouped together at Portsmouth Comic Con with a stage full of geekery.

James brought a long all his screen accurate /replica costumes for all the Doctors, some UNIT personnel plus a Sea Devil, Cyberman and Clockwork Droid.  As a celebration of 60 years of Doctor Who, I don't think we did too badly.

I brought along the Hudolin police box and the Baker/Davison TARDIS console, aka @theCuratorsTARDIS. Here's a few snaps of the Hudolin only!

And who else pops by on the Sunday, why its none other than @russellsuthern himself! And what a chap! And lovely Mrs. He brought his fantastic Baker cosplay and just as fantastic K9!! Lovely job sir.

I might do a separate post about the rest of what we had on display, but this'll do for now!

The whole day was a treat.

After a recent bout of (yet again ::sigh::) moving house, I didn't expect to whip out the toys for anything until August. But low and behold, Fantom Events popped up and invited me over to Coventry. Only happy with the state of the police box, that was in the van and away we go!

Ya know, I wanted to repaint the white texture scuffs that had occurred since the house move but ran out of time, but , they kind of act aged character.

Lots of lovely comments from some people, even if it was the original movie prop. Alas to disappoint them :-D

I had the pleasure of a wedding invite! Well, I say _I_, of course I meant the box.

It allowed for some perfect images which I'll share in time here, but in the meantime, here's a little _Discovering the TARDIS_ video...
