Loved your Console Room too, I was always hoping to see some more and a dare I dream, a fly though. :D

I would have done more but my old pc died just after I did the door area and I never got round to it when I got a new one. Now however, I'm thinking an actual real life version of the bakelite console might not be impossible, with resin printed elements.... Gawd knows where I'd put it though.

Kingpin

Those are spectacular.  Lovely tributes to Delgado and Pertwee.

Here's my latest resin print. I'm having to buy shelves to put these things on.

Been a while since I posted anything new. Here's one to go with the Pertwee and Delgado. I think her pedestal is a wee bit too tall though.jo,doc,master.jpgjo1.jpgjo3.jpgjo2.jpgjo4.jpg

OMG!!
That is beautiful.
Am I right in thinking that Jo's plinth is a Metebelis III crystal?

Fantastic work.

Thanks Russell. Yes, it's a Metebelis crystal. The photos don't show it but it is translucent.

I'm getting so old.  Do they come out like that?  I always think of 3D printing as being more...pixelated?  Blocky.  Like, you have to do a bunch of sanding to finish the work.  That you can get results like that just blow my mind.

The only sanding I do is where the supports have been, and I always put them around the back. There's not much to do anyway. Obviously then I have to paint them.

I'm not knowledgeable on 3D printing, but I think resin doesn't show the print lines as much? Even so, you need to know a lot about modelling and printing to get results this good!
