No, it's the right way round - we're looking towards the 'music room' from the main entrance doors!

Rassilons Rod

I thought that's where he sits with his tea...
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

It is - the chair is just turned round in the transmitted version (the photo Oslm posted was taken during the set-up of the Tardis interior and not during rehearsals/recording - the rug has yet to be unfurled and placed on the floor).  :)

Hi Dino,

I wasn't aware that Clayton was a member of this board...

I hope that news was a pleasant surprise for you. (I know it was for me when I found out!)

I hope he doesn't mind us posting these images here for reference purposes only...

I don't think he would. He seems a right great bloke from what he's posted already. And he did post those images on Twitter after all, so there's no telling how many thousands of his followers have seen them, which was something that hadn't occurred to me when I made my post. (I'm sure he won't mind if a few more of his fans see those images here. :))

KIT-KAT

Recently I wen up to Scotland with my mum and dad, there we met a friend and her husband who has his own workshop and is very good at electronics, i showed him the Mcgann Console, he told me what he thought some of the parts where, one part he said looked like an old bridge tester,

No, not at all - the reference section can be hard to find your way around.  :)

Indeed it can. I sometimes spend hours looking through it to find something I know I've seen in there... somewhere.

Also, don't forget the Article http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=3413.0. It's got some great close-ups of the console and the controls, with some being close enough to possibly see what one of those controls like this were, or who made them or what they were made for (real-life made for, that is).

I hope this helps add to the reference Tony posted.

Hello everyone, I have a question about the time column on the McGann movie console.
Does anybody know what the height of the time column and the diamater could possibly be. Is it smaller and narrower than the 2005 eccleston/tennant time column or could it be the same height and diamater of the 2005 tardis time column.

Many Thanks.

timewomble

I seem to remember that the TVM console column has a 12 inch outer diameter, but I'm at work away from my copy of the book about it.

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.
