So I've started making the rib section, got one done and folded, it's very fiddly and tricky but I got there, not the best structurally but the can underneath is holding it, might do more soon...BD21EF7B-33EF-4649-985F-86DA17150554.jpegD7BC1DE8-29C5-49D3-8AE8-BA0B5295B159.jpeg2EEB56F1-7B03-4493-ADC7-714446145A9B.jpeg

May i suggest something. I know there is not any official messurment for this consol, but your's look a bit smallet then the original was (i d'guess 3/4 the size of the orginal from where i stand.)
I'm woried that using the pieces you sourced, tho acurate, my make the final product look wierd. Maybe remaking some of it could help ?

yeah it's about 2/3 scale, the original is 6ft wide which is huge so I went for 4ft, some of the parts won't fit so I'm not gonna buy them all, I'll fit as much as I possibly can, biodoctor900's is the same:)

Nice to see another one of these get off the ground! I like the way it's looking so far - that rib profile looks nice. Keep up the good work!

Making me itch to crack on myself actually :D
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

More rib sections done held up with various things and I made a test rim section that's only temporary to see how I'm gonna do it:)9BFECA95-DA88-4304-AFC0-507339FBBC4D.jpeg70D24D89-6514-4899-988D-E6A09E73D136.jpeg36211259-BD83-46C4-AAE7-D0D40C6337A9.jpeg3F6C33D1-4A8A-44E5-A56E-2D70953BCBDC.jpeg

I'm not very familiar with the Tennant console and hesitate to give unsolicited advice, but could you get away with adding a vertical rib on the underside of the dividers  to stiffen them and provide support?

So I've got my 1st panel, it's 500m by 500m, I cut it by using a scoring and snapping technique to avoid it cracking and shattering, once completely cut I used cling film to make it look crystaly and cracked like the real ones also to diffuse the light, I then put more on as you could see under it then used 2 pieces of paper to cover 5e lights, it's held up by random items like books at the moment so hopefully in future it will be more secure, I then added a new rim section that curves at the bottom which is pretty sturdy and removable, then I added the top curve bit, gotta add more to hide the insides yet, I also completed the last rib section on my console and added a monitor which is kinda borrowed ish for now, perhaps a little too large for my console, I also now have new strip lights going completely round the room, set to orange at the inside sort of was, more details are on my YouTube channel which I will link, more coming very soon...No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment. No message is associated with this attachment.

Even though it's unfinished, and you can currently see the cardboard, there's just something about the round shape together with the cyan lighting that makes it unmistakably a 'coral' console.

So it's been a while but I'm back, not a lot has happened to the console but I've made the rest of the panels as you can see by the rest of my yt vids, next I've gotta buy some paint, plant pot plates and so on. I've been to wilko to buy some plant pot plates and I cut them up and used masking tape and hot glue to keep the, together, I've painted the ribs of the console but it needs another coat of lighter paint, the time rotor is that dalek box all cut up and the time rotor light is temporary until I get some new lights, I often feel like my console is just really bad but I'm still going regardless, hopefully it turns out alright, goodbye for nowE15FD9A0-1BC7-4CF1-8B46-003EBBC3431B.jpeg34943A9D-9A4D-445F-A346-CB53F5C7BA14.jpegB411A73F-34E4-4D96-975D-E146632ECF4E.jpeg036C7AE6-17DE-4BB5-A3D5-0C87520CD7D7.jpegEB9A9797-CAED-4F47-83EB-A35DD8F9828B.jpegC6C30B17-029F-45D7-8639-02521D35EA32.jpeg3F26620F-8F94-4084-AD17-5191D7EC27BC.jpeg782F57F2-7CEE-46B4-86CD-3B0BC7058EE3.jpegBC1A9A62-1655-4580-B890-56A742FFCDFF.jpeg

The time rotor is off to a good start! I really like the darker photos, with just the light from the console

This is looking... FANTASTIC!

my console right now seems to be very short on me so i aim to make it taller by adding something under the disks to increase the height as much as i can, considering im only 5ft 7 it makes the console feel very small, ill maybe buy another plant pot soon to do this, i still have no idea what im going to do about a monitor but if i have one then i might have to make it stationary as my console is very weak structually, the structure doesnt really bother me as its just a little project so im just improvising as i go into the project

jpittsta

So I've bought some battery operated press lights with a remote and they are rgb and for my rotor, here's some photos of it lit8FC7AF1E-1026-4AC2-842F-A2BFD58876C4.jpegEE60E34B-C587-4B9E-ACF2-109C5994B9A5.jpeg
