News papaer cutting from years and years ago....

I found this little chap in one of old folders last night. I had forgotten I had it, but I cut it from a news paper back in the early nineties. I cannnot recall the article, the paper or any of that so here is the picture.

I'm sure one of the smart folk here can identify which box was sited right next to a building with honking great neoclassical pillars. As for date? purely guessing, but based on the availability of spray paint for the graffito, the man's clothing and the angularity of the car behind, I'd say it's a late one.
A mixed-up non-conformist, trying to fit in.

Looking at the buildings columns etc, is hazard a guess at this being the Box in Royal Exchange Square which was removed, if memory serves me right and without my records to hand, sometime during 1994.

1994. That sounds about right. If my memory serves me well enough, it would have been around then I found the picture. Great.
