Sontaren Communicator / Remote Builds

I'm working on Sontaren communicator. I plan to have a whole line of communicator versions.

My first one, the "Invasion Of Time" communicator started off OK, but when I added the buttons & grill. My Measurements were off & had to go back over them again to find out where I measured wrong.
Its best to start with cardboard. If you make a mistake, you can just peel the tape & try again.



sand the cardboard for better glue grip.



Stencil for the cardboard buttons.



I tried using torn cardboard for the grill. I don't have any pics of the cardboard buttons & grill on. I tore them off before I remembered to take the pic.

Looking good.

I was tempted to do a Sontaran costume for my cosplay thread, but just did a standee instead, but I'm still toying with the idea.

I'll keep an eye on this one with interest.
