Are there any concept or production drawings for this?

Alister Pierson!  I miss his DW art on book covers.  Between him and Lee Sullivan, he was one of my favorite artists.

It was meant for Sylvester McCoy in his next season, it was built, but sadly unused because the show was canceled before it could be used. I really wish there were more pictures and plans if that console room that I could use for my mod.

Cardinal Hordriss

I think the model was used as a backdrop for something Sylvester did...

The Room was built by Mike Tucker as a model... It was used as a Green screen backdrop to Sylvesters Linking Naration when the old BSB Satelite tv company, (the forerunner to BskyB that would eventually become SKY), held a Doctor Who weekend on it's then relatively new UKGold channel.... The BBC was responsible for 50% of the satelite companies output in the 1990s and this was the first time that Classic Doctor Who had been reshown in the UK as a regular repeat since most episodes had first aired upto 30 years previously ;D

The14thDr

Wow... and here's me thinking they actually built a full scale set before the show got cancelled (duh!) ::) ;D

Any Chance someone can find a video of this?

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

This wasn't for UK Gold, it was for BBC Choice (which later became BBC Three) and their Doctor Who night back in 1998, celebrating the 35th anniversary.

It was used for something else as well, wasn't it? As I remember seeing it on transmission and I never caught the BBC Choice thing. Was it one of the items during the other Doctor Who Night in 1999? I seem to remember it was for a featurette all about Time Travel and the TARDIS.

Annoyingly I'm sure I've got the footage somewhere...

The video footage is on the extras footage of the Survival DVD.

There's also a version in Second Life - I've attached some screen shots of that for reference.

warmcanofcoke

It is not on the Survival DVD in region 1.    :'(

I'm sure it was on a TV documentary. I'll have to give the 1999 Doctor Who night another watch...

lofiscifi

It's definitely been used on a DVD extra... I couldn't tell you which one, mind.

Any chance there is a top down view of the controls themselves as laid out on the console?
