Found this box on map but can't seem to find it in the database.

Was it a Met Box or is it S3 ( or S1 or S2 ) re-sited ?

The Watford Box unfortunately is not a Met Box. The original Watford Borough Police Force which was part of the Hertfordshire Constabulary established a system of Boxes and Pillars in the early 1930s along the lines of the system established in St Albans. The boundary of the Met and Herts Forces routes through Bushey on a roughly NE SW direction. I can't be sure, but I believe that approx 3 Boxes and 15 Pillars were installed through Watford and Leavesden.

Thanks for the info realboxmike.

I've managed to find 16 Posts and 1 Box so far using a 1950's map:

With all your knowledge, have you any information on the 4 Met style boxes that appear to be

seen in High Wycombe ?

Here's one of those pillars on your map. St Albans Road.

This mysterious box should just out of shot to the left of the phone box. The photo looks to be cropped so the original will almost certainly have it.
