I've never tried to Google my self (this pseudonym) yet, it's fun to see the tardis builder Web site pop up not that far from the top amongst my other stuff X)
Tho in the images section, some tardis pops up, but none of those are mine.

And also à couple of wierd stuff and some random dude that might not understand why there is so much cartoons asociated to his name. IMG_20210515_002610_418.jpg

I'm affraid there will be not much stuff going on for a week and a half, inve temporarly moved to get vaccinated and i took off without a box to please my roommate who drove me there.

i'm sorry about that tho i have my entiere pc set up, so i'll still be able to plan future builds.
wich i'm seeing as the NSDW C prop, a late McCoy TWJ and then maybe a custom

À couple of photos i left out from the normandy shoot.
Also good news, i might be able to get the box sent were i am right now. Or at least one of them :)
There are some Nice places to do photos so i'm exited about it^^

Hey, i'm having second thoughts on the lamp. At this scale, proportions gets hard to replicate without messing up, and i think i haven't made that good of à job with that part.
What do you think, shall i remake one ?
It's easily replacable,so no problème getting it of the roof and replace it.

1) The photos are so freakin' beautiful.  Beautiful model, beautiful photography.  Almost painfully beautiful.

2) I could go either way.  Looking at your side-by-side comparison, yes, your lamp is a little thin.  But I'd say the lamp is the hardest thing to spot as being inaccurate (at least if you're doing camera angles like it's a full-sized TARDIS.  The foreshortening caused by perspective goes a long way towards hiding the minor difference.  If you didn't show them side-by-side and at a straight-on shot, I'd never know there was anything wrong with your lamp.  So do you NEED to "fix" the lamp?  No.  But do we continually tweak our TARDISes because we're never happy with them?  Yes.  So it makes perfect sense that you'd want to redo the lamp.

That's à very good point

what i'll do is remaking one new and if it's any better, i'll switch. basicaly, like you said, tweaking it.

Also bad news, my roommate forgot to bring back the box to me, so next time i get here, i'll pick it  up my self and do photos with the mignature trees and american cimetary.

Just a little shoot. A few changes since last time, the base as a bit of wear and grim on it to simulate use. I'm still wondering if i should bend the handles to give it the look of use to.
Also the stones logo has been changes and shall change again in the futur.

I've got you some british looking weatherIMG_20210525_214904_432.jpgIMG_20210525_214903_318.jpgIMG_20210525_214901_246.jpgIMG_20210525_214859_951.jpgIMG_20210525_214859_101.jpgIMG_20210525_214856_415.jpg

Those new photos look very realistic, I really like it.

Sooo... My first shot at expoxy résine went very well. It's not perfect and i allready have a new lamp in the making for this box, but for now it will be good enought until i change my mind.
So basicly, it's some us coper coin on the top with some fimo to sculpte the lamp cap and nipple, and some 1euro cent coins for the rest of the body of the lamp. I used those because they were the right diamètre and also because if the paint cheapos away, it will show coper or brass under it.
The fresnel is now made out of résine that i casted in a cylindrical shape using à old glue tube and then worked with my dremel and my cutter. Like i was wood turning.
Here are some pictures

IMG_20210529_011329_338.jpgIMG_20210529_011323_957.jpg cap and the main body of the lamp painted with à undersised hot glue stick fresnel lence. This time i'm made the métal clips and hinges of the lamp

IMG_20210529_011318_241.jpg this is the final cast of the epoxy

IMG_20210529_011252_774.jpgIMG_20210529_011251_215.jpgIMG_20210529_011250_144.jpg and the finished product. Btw, i've noticed my super glu reacted with the paint, wich i'll have to find à way to fix.

Also, here is à little "how to assemblé this box"

IMG_20210529_011303_140.jpgfirst, here are all the pièces, all flat ready to travel in a bag. It mostly disassembles and assemblés the same with similar pièces then the real prop does.

IMG_20210529_011307_980.jpgIMG_20210529_011309_587.jpgIMG_20210529_011306_766.jpg
First put on the floor of the base, and incert each corner posts in to their own slot (F=front B=back G=left D=right)

IMG_20210529_011305_209.jpg clip the doors into their hinges

IMG_20210529_011310_786.jpg
Fit in the side pannel slots in the posts and base grooves the acording the left, right and back(mind the hinges)

IMG_20210529_011312_679.jpgIMG_20210529_011313_942.jpg put on the sign boxes to the corresponding sides

IMG_20210529_011315_953.jpg then the roof and door panel and you're off !

And to finish it, here is à little photo shoot with my other propsIMG_20210529_011301_402.jpgIMG_20210529_011300_368.jpgIMG_20210529_011258_680.jpgIMG_20210529_011257_038.jpgIMG_20210529_011256_130.jpgIMG_20210529_011253_864.jpgIMG_20210529_011248_422.jpgIMG_20210529_011245_544.jpgIMG_20210529_011243_917.jpg

Angelus Lupus

What a beautiful line-up of boxes! I am jealous of both your model-building and photography skills! The new 2010 lamp is really good.
A mixed-up non-conformist, trying to fit in.

Volpone

Yeah, it's kind of like "There's nothing wrong with the old on...ohhhh, I see..."  It's wild, how some of the little details don't seem like they'd be worth the effort to fine-tune until you do it and it makes a huge difference (to people like us. Way back, when I did my first refit I showed a friend who was a casual Doctor Who fan before and after pictures and he didn't see the difference. lol.)

i'll have to get a reflex at some point, and i'm affraid it will mean one of those boxes will hae to go on ebay

i think your box evolved into a very cool one. for me, it really came to life when you remade the posts and sign boxes. the proportions

as for my lamp, i'll still need to redo it at some point when i'll be better at working resins.

alextheyellowthing

I've tried à New location for shooting photos and went with the D box. It was horrible to work with because of the hit and some designs flows. The roof got damages à bit in the procès so i'll have to fix and mod all that needs mods.
