This started as a boredom project that went unfinished for more than a year because I lost interest but I got inspired by another member's project so I got it done.

Interesting.  It has much more in common with the 2005 prop than the direction they went with Matt Smith and beyond.  The 2005 prop didn't have much in common with the iconic 70s & 80s prop, but such is life.  Having a light was a nod back to the original Troughton sonic.  Anyway, the point I'm coming around to is, if you grew up on Eccleston and Tennant, you'd look at this and say "Oh!  The Doctor's got a new sonic."

Well my main aims were pocket friendliness and using metal as opposed to plastic, the design just evolved from there with no real planning. A lot depends on the contents of my bits box.

I've updated it already. Justin filling the holes where those claws fitted to the body.

Looks good! I like the added touches to the midsection particularly.

Thank you. I've added a few finishing touches. My aim is to slowly replace more of the plastic bits over time but I'll have to commission them.
