My Planned Console

Well i have been planning this for a while but my parents still wont let me build one  > .

But That wont stop me  

I've been looking at the real Consoles and still cant decide which one i like most.

i like the random layout of the wooden consoles
but
i also like the moderen futureistic look of the five doc's console and i also like the simplisity and scale of the TV Movie console

so im planing a five docs style console with panels that are organised and simalar to the five doc's panels but with only a few of the little switches and light the rest of the controls will be odd bits and bobs like the 2005 console and the woden consoles

well thats what im planing

Right i have decided im going to build a standared 5 doc's console, but with one set of standared controle panels and one set of custom cvontrole panels with the posibility of more

then i have the possibility to build a nother compleate set of panels in wooden style wich would then make it look like a secondery/tvm console

Long time ago I designed a console based on the 5 Doctors console.   I imagined what it would have been like if the console (and to a lesser extent console room) had under went some sort of damage.   How, I wondered, would the Doctor fix his console to get the TARDIS flying again???   So I started with the 5 Doctors console and covered up bits with panels and added controls from previous consoles.  For a long time I wanted to build a scale model of it.   But then the 1996 TVM came along and I shifted my way of thinking.   I probably still have the drawing somewhere in my random collection of little bits of paper.   At least that is how my girlfriend refers to my filing system, LOL

Have you seen the TARDIS console I made in 3D? It combines what I liked about all the known consoles ( not the new one.... yet)

I have loved this design since I first saw a few years back.   Not even sure how I first stumbled across your pages.   I always check regularly on your site for updates.

So if I am reading your post correctly are you planning on updating your console design to include bits of the new series console???   Love to see what you have in mind.

Yes I started updating with this image

-I changed the roundles to go up and down (my mistake)
-Added more grille on the floor
-Was going to give it a rounded ceiling.
- Maybe a scanner that was like the new series. And some of the add on details of the new console (Hand crank, glass ball, odds and ends)

yes i saw your page a while ago

and what a great site it is, ive looked at it a few times in the last week for insperation  while i was drawing some plans.

hopefuly i will have some layout plans ready in a day or so

well the plan for my console is changeing im now moveing toworeds a 8th docs console with hints of the 5 docs and 2005/6

god i cant decide maybe i should just build one of each lol

Thanks for that image, doctor49152. Could you post a nice high resolution version like you did for the 5 Doctors style console? Please do :-)

I couldn't really decide either, Tom so i'm going to make a few sets of panels with different styles.  They will all clip into the same console frame so I can change them over whenever I feel like it. Doing that will also save space.
