Box B47 - Northwest corner of junction of Bank Street and Gibson Street

This is Box B47, which stood close to the main building of Glasgow University for just over 50 years.

My father took this photograph for me in June 1980. Although there were many Police Boxes in Glasgow then, I only got to see them a couple of times a year. I was envious of my eldest brother passing this every day, so I pestered my dad to take a photo on the day he graduated (cameras weren't the casual everyday thing they are now). I'm doubly glad I did pester him; not only is it one box I never got to see in person, but it lets me fill in a wee gap in our database.
