I could have sworn I made this thread already - where did it go? (can someone find it for me or am I just delusional?)

Here we have all the reference I have for the Tetrap guns, that appeared in the 1987 story "Time and the Rani".

In this one you can see the ribbed/diamond matting that is the black sections - this is only on the hero prop, not on the background tetrap copies

The first time one of the copies came to auction. I can't remember the source of these images but think they're from the original seller at the time.

You can see that the black sections are all black duct tape, the side tubes all screws in on the main nozzle. The body in fibreglass, presumably.

I asked Bonhams for some closer photos of the prop, and they provided the following:

I made a quick drawing blueprint of this prop, I'm not sure if it's accurate yet, not until i build it, to fill in the detailed gaps. This is my rendering & best guess of this prop, your measurements & construction may differ.

I just realized I forgot to measure the handle. (Palm slap to the face)

I found some carbon fiber tape on eBay which would make a good look for the textured pipe.

Nice find, I was convinced the tube wrap in the Bonnie and Sylv picture is actual matt, but on closer observation, I don't see bumps at top against Sylv's jacket, so who knows. It might as well be tape!
