Wonderful! So much to take in and so beautifully presented.

Coming from a professional like you Thomas, that means a lot thank you.  :)

Well done Tony. Glad all your hard work has finally seen the light of day, mate

Not just my work Steve - don't forget it was you who researched the central column's electrical fittings and it was you who recreated the console's graphics too!

Those reading the piece will realise from the acknowledgements page that this is very much a team effort.  So, my thanks to you, Dan, Slava, Karst, Richard and to Brian and Christian for hosting the e-book.

(And, I managed to sneak in a couple of things no-one has noticed including a couple of my Pertwee and Delgado drawings!) :)

Just been catching up here. This book is an amazing accomplishment. Well done to Tony et al.

Excellent work :)  Will there be an e-book for the 4th Doctor's console?

Fantastic work.  Well done Tony and everyone else.

Thanks for the kind words.

In principle, there's no reason why a follow-up piece covering the Tom Baker years can't be done but, this obviously depends on whether Christian and Brian judge the first one to have been a success (in terms of views and downloads, etc) and want a follow-up piece.

In terms of a time-scale, any follow-up will be a long way off. Slava and I still have to complete the wire-frame/photogrammetry on the Altered Brachacki Box and, before that, Slava wants to carry on with his renders of the Season 8 Pertwee Tardis interior and his turquoise Tardis interior renders.  :)

And to piggy back on that, I need to finish the Pertwee build before I start the early baker console panel replacements so that is a bit off as well.

Tony, all the things I wished Tardibuilders had before I joined, you have made a reality. Keep up the good work.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Interesting, I'd read DanielC's comment as a reference to the season 14 plans that you've been teasing us with  ;)

But yes, an addendum or part 2 for the Sharp would be amazing.

This does make me wonder if the same could be done for your Brachacki plans too  ;)

No pressure, Tony! :D

Marc, I created the e-book using Microsoft's "Paint". So, as well as drawing every diagram, I had to manually space each word of text so that each sentence started and ended in the same place i.e., so that each column of text was neat, tidy and - hopefully - so that each page is pleasing to the eye.

The e-book is forty pages long - do you have any idea just how long that took?!  :o  :) So, for the e-book to 'work as intended', each page should be printed at A4 size x 150% (this equates to 96 pixels per inch).

I'd have been happy for the e-book to appear here on Tardis Builders but the forum's upload limits prevent that. Were I to upload each page as a jpg image there would be a loss of definition and I believe that the forum's software will also automatically resize each image which - in turn - would make the fact that I've drawn most of the diagrams at actual size a bit of a nonsense!

If you can work out how to upload each page of the e-book at actual size and without loss of definition to Tardis Builders, then Marc I'd be quite happy for it to be added to the reference section here.  If you want to message me on this, please do so. :)

Even though it was bloody hard work, I enjoyed creating the e-book because Brian and Christian at Kasterborous allowed me complete freedom to do it the way I wanted. (Karst will tell you just how specific I was when asking him to match the angles at which he took photos of his console to shots from the DVDs and BBC photos. I'm sure that Dan and Slava privately cursed me too! :))

And - I'll say this again - I'm also genuinely very grateful to Karst, Dan, Slava and Steve for their input without which the project would have been much poorer.

So, assembling a team of 'happy helpers' is also another factor to consider when deciding what - if any - future projects there might be. Are people happy to co-operate again and do they have the time?

As I say, I like the e-book format but, whether further e-books appear will depend on whether Christian and Brian judge the first one to be a success; I know from Christian that it was viewed/down-loaded by 300 people in the weekend of it's launch but I suspect that after this initial interest it will be a 'slow-burner'.......

Time will tell!  ;)

(P.S., on the subject of 'no pressure' Marc, what happened to your renders of the Vulcan Colony sets from"Power of the Daleks"?!  ;))

I did start those but got interrupted by moving and visiting my grandfather. To be honest, my computer just isn't up to muster for this stuff anymore. Whenever I hit the render button, it wheezes like a krampus.....  :-\

I will get back to it though :)

This ebook, like all your (plural) work, is a stunning piece of research and presentation!

I'll have to defer to Crispin on the subject of uploading to the forum.

I'd love it if you did do more,  (I'd be tempted to get them printed and bound). But if you do, you do; if you don't, you don't.... It's not like you haven't deserved a rest :)

BTW. I was one of the 300.  In the future, I'd be willing to offer my services, once I have a capable computer again.

I was one of the 300 as well. Really would like to see an original Brachaki version. Well done to all and appreciated very much.

downloaded it on to multiple computers. ::)

Hello Tony,

Just for the record I was one of the 300 so thank you.

Remembering a time before the Doctor Who was released even on VHS I am grateful for what we have got.

The dimensions for the Brachaki console and the secondary console (not to mention the rooms) are available on this site thanks to your hard work.  After all that is the key requirement for a TARDIS builder!

Thanks again.

Best regards,
Sean Clarke.
