The cardboard box factory (Shirley Box Company) on Priory Road operated alongside the New Merton Board Mills.
Raw government "redundant paper" - which seems to be piled up in the Tina photo on the waste land where once a full terrace of houses were, now reduced to 3 houses and a ruin - and scraps were sent to the mills for pulping.

You can see the chimneys/vents and one of the 3 thin, tall silver and black chimneys in the Tina photo. The hedge, in Wandle Park, has now grown twice the height by 1966.

I think they are, because the faces are different (AI tends to add smiles), the buttons have changed from white to black and the 'PUBLIC CALL' text has moved for no reason.
No offense meant - I've used colourisation programs in the past, but the new ones that 'clean up' or 'restore' old images smooth out, or change details. In the interest of accuracy, I tend to only use programs like that as the start of my own manual work.
