Holy Crap TG, you are still around :P,  I was wondering where some of us old timers had gotten to.    So many have just vanished or turned into lurkers themselves.    Good to see you are up and taking nourishment.
I have to admit to a bit of lurking...but I'm not sure I want to admit to being an old-timer Karst! (however true it is) and good to see you too!

Welcome back TG good to see your tardis is still holding up.
Any progress on the servo robot?
Unfortunately the Servo was a bit of a disaster, I decided to build him out of cardboard first...and he was massive, I could stand inside him (which is probably correct as the actor was a boy of about 12). I think I seriously over-estimated my skills and now I'll probably have to wait until Kiwidoc writes 'The Servo Robot Builders Manual'.

How many of us here can claim we were on all iterations of the TARDIS builders guild, TB2,  etc. :)  I embrace my old timeyness :P

Colin Young has the original, he might be willing to help you out on measurements.

Snow in Kent UK!
I thought she looked so lovely in the snow showers of storm Darcy. I sent this picture in to The Guardian newspaper (UK) and got a mention for Tardis Builders!

TG  :)

Always a joy to see this box pop up again! It has a winning combination of beautiful box and beautiful setting. Whether it's the dappled sunshine and blossom of previous images, or a dusting of snow, there's just something about the way this box is tucked into the trees that feels almost... cosy.  :)

Lovely photo.  I can't decide if it is color or black & white.  (I'm leaning towards desaturated but still a hint of color.)

Aw thank you so much for the nice comments!

I sort of wish when the journalist phoned about the picture I had discussed the Police Box as an icon of historic street furniture and not just laughed nervously and wittered on about shopping trips to B&Q and how much I loved Doctor Who  ::)

Loads more snow last night. It does look lovely but I’ve really got to get up and brush it off the roof and sign boxes before too much damp seeps in.

I've remembered why I ignored TARDIS maintenance this spring. I embraced 'No Mow May' (for the bees)

Soon the Doctor and Sarah will be stepping out and wondering why the radiation level is so high before heading off to try to find U.N.I.T. HQ.

Either that or The TARDIS has just arrived at Culloden Moor.....

Absolutely beautiful photo! And (not for the first time) the view is reminding me of The Highlanders landing spot :D

My first location was very "just materialized in the woods" while my last two were more sited the way a police box would be, squared up and near a building. I kind of like that look, but looking at the above photo, I realize it doesn't convey the magic as well. At my first place I'd get up, make coffee, glance out the window and think "THE TARDIS IS IN MY YARD!" Then I'd remember it is *my* TARDIS. Which is almost as cool as momentarily thinking The Doctor is real.

Yes, Marc, The Highlanders! I was just wondering about the possibility of animating it so I was looking at the tele-snaps:
“The relative peace of a wooded hollow is broken by the noise of the TARDIS materialising”.

Thank you Angelus! you’re right, the lamp too, I think having real glass in the lamp and windows helps with the glow.

Volpone, love what you said, a TARDIS can look wonderful anywhere. I definitely still get those TARDIS moments when I see her.
