Suggestion to merge reference sections

I'd read somewhere that the current box was actually a merger between props I-5-6 and J-7-8. Technically it should be classed as its own box, in the same way that the brachacki altered is not considered the original box.
 
The difference being (as I understand it) is that the '2023 specials' box is built from parts made for the Whittaker box (and is 99.9% the same shape-wise), whereas the Brachacki Altered was visually very different (roof, steps, gaining the clover leaf things) and, as we learned from research on this forum, used new parts originally built for the Toymaker's fake boxes.

My own opinion (for whatever that's worth) would be that the 2023 box is, in construction and looks, congruent with Arwel Wyn Jones's design, but the Brachacki Altered is, despite its long-stranding moniker, largely a new (albeit frankensteined) build.
 
I suppose you could look at it that way too. I think it comes down to semantics/technical thought.
The box does look different from Jodie's to me, so I think it should be classed as a different prop, but I can see your argument making sense too.

While we may be seeing new configurations, the base parts are all nigh-identical to their time during Jodie's run; As I understand it the biggest aesthetic change has been a slightly bluer paintjob, and the 'mergers' are just different assemblies of the same base parts that were built by the end of Series 11.

I think an appropriate comparison would be that our Tom Yardley-Jones reference section isn't forked for the two-to-three complete units (or the different combinations thereof) that were in-use at the time, as they all originated from the same design; Or that our Colin Richmond/Ed Thomas reference section is only separated for the new, radically different props from Series 5-10, even though there were three (very broadly identical) hero props in use from Series 1-4.
 
I haven't paid as close attention to the modern boxes as I have the classics, but it's sounding something like the mix n match dalek parts as catalogued on dalek6388.

Have I got that right?

I think that's an apt comparison, to summarize for clarity:
There were three hero boxes built for Jodie's run, all constructed by the end of Series 11; I usually refer to them as H, I and J following Will Brooks' excellent prop histories. Similarly to the first two Richmond/Thomas boxes, they're nigh identical bar differing wood grain patterns.
Box H was retired following Series 11, and I and J continue to be used through to the present day.

As they were all built to identical specification, their component parts have been swapped and assembled in different configurations since Series 12 - for example box J might use one of I's doors or vice versa (this is what drgrackle is referring to by I-5-6 and J-7-8, Will Brooks has used the numbers to designate the doors for clarity on specific configurations)

I'd assume in anticipation of another full relaunch with RTD returning, the '2023 Specials TARDIS' section was created, but those two Jodie-era boxes continue to be used in essentially the same condition as they were from Series 11-13; the only differences I'm aware of being a slight change in paint hue, and a new base with a fold-out wheelchair ramp. (And even that wasn't present for the first two episodes of the current era)
