(Star Wars) Gaffi Stick in "The Power of Kroll"???

"The Power of Kroll" on RetroTV this week.  After The Doctor rescues Romana from the Kroll sacrifice and they're poking around the temple, Romana, quite clearly and for an extended period, picks up and examines a gaffi stick from "Star Wars"--or at least the top half of one.  Found a screencap in another board:  https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/totokia-in-1978-doctor-who.185559

I tried to see what they were made from to see if the BBC had just happened to use the same thing Lucasfilm used for their prop or if they actually had a prop from the movie.

THAT'S what I was looking for!  I was trying to find out if the Beeb had happened on leftover props from "Star Wars" or if they and Lucasfilm had found the same thing to use as a basis for a prop.  (I'm not a lightsaber scholar, but many, many of the Star Wars blasters are fairly lightly modified firearms.  Most obvious is Han's blaster, which started as a "broomhandle" Mauser automatic pistol.  So yeah.  Lucas took 'em and added an end with fins on it.  The BBC likely just had one laying around and after the success of "Star Wars" (1977, this serial was from 1978), one of the prop guys decided to drag it out and use it as set dressing.
