These are 1927 proposed designs for polices boxes by contractors for Standard British Telephones and Cables Ltd (1925 - 1991.) Who incidentally invented fiber optic cables and a few other things. Don't know if they ever ordered any. I have certainly never seen boxes like them, though they are lovely.
