Police Box of the 21st Century

Hmmm.....

To be honest Bill, I'm more interested in the "embedded police box" story.

That caught me for a loop when they said that.  Anyone know where that was and if pics were taken?

Strangely, it kind of reminds me of a Dalek now!!!  :o

Or a Smurf House

That new Police box only said one thing to me

So I thought I’d post the following quiz

Which one of these four is the new police box?

Now have three pints and make a guess?

And talking of loos:

The embedded police box... I believe that it's one of the original cast iron ones, from before the first World War - a design that was (supposedly) based on a public loo.

time becomes a loop...time becomes a loop...

Yes, it gets a mention on the beeb website here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/cult/news/drwho/2005/09/01/24271.shtml

A 'Mk 2', whatever that is... so maybe not of the urinal-screen design.

That steel box may be an odd thing but it has some design to it, thus beating Haringey's attempt (see www.kiosk-korner.co.uk , or specifically www.kiosk-korner.co.uk/kiosk06.html ).

Just curious, but did anyone capture any decent images from the links that Bill (DoctorWho8), whitestar1969, ironageman, and Mark posted above? If so, you might want to post some of them as all of those links are dead. Even the Wayback Machine has no snapshots of them, so there are no images of those boxes to be had unless someone caught them when the links were active.

Dino.
