For a rare item, I don't think that price is too bad.

Thanks for the tip. It will be in my hands shortly, though I'll probably keep it as an artifact rather than cut it to fit.
 
I also have purchased a basket from the gentlemen in question and added it to my collection.  Good seller and arrived quickly. 
 
The number of times one of these has appeared of late, it makes me wonder if it was a 3d print after all... they looked especially clean...

It's not a 3D print,  It has the musty smell that you only get from something of that vintage age,  The plastic is not a consistent color throughout, it has faded areas and finally no print lines.  Even a really good 3D resin or Filament print you would see print lines.

Oh I agree entirely, this one is an original. But recently there were a spout of what looked like very clean baskets on ebay... is all I'm saying :)
 
ahhh roger that,  i'm tracking now.    If the price wasn't bad and its accurate I think a 3D printed basket would be an excellent way to go. 
 
I think Tony has that covered, He snagged one a few months ago so I am sure that he will update his documents on any more accurate measurements.

I was thinking the same as you (warmcanofcoke) possible to 3D print it, do you know where a file might be found, ? just getting in to 3D printing now looking at better printer.

the original Console basket is a great find I keep on looking but always miss out.
