I thought we might want to keep a list of general common observations we all have about TARDIS building. Feel free to add anything you think of. I'll kick off...

No 1. If you are building an outdoor TARDIS, you might as well keep a stepladder inside it. You are going to need it. A lot.

I want to say this with a  smirk on me snerk and my hand over my mouth- Build it from concrete-it will keep out the weather-a lot!

There's a reason why the real ones were made out of concreate, but just how heavy would that roof be when you come to fit it..?

Oh pretty heavy, but I reckon two stout men with a scaffold tower could lift it into place. My old boss and I used to roll Granite lintels up along scaffold boards to mount them high over things like doorways and so on. They cant be much heavier (The were longer than a man is tall) He was in his fifties and was in my early thirties, then but we had no trouble with that.
There is a lovely picture somewhere in this site showing them putting a box together. But once your ring lintel was up holding the walls together you would have no trouble!

Ah, yes, but concrete "cancer" is a thing, so they can rot just like a wood box.

Again, I reckon thats a thing of the past isn't it? Like mundic rot too. All down to what you've got in your mix!

What a super picture! I had never seen that one before! The one I was thinking of was this one;357887AF-B58A-47A8-A207-06BA6133A5C0.jpeg

Albeit a more complete box. Interesting to see the windows are already installed. Thank you Dr Hue for sharing the fascinating image!
