I will forever think of the Superman film with the Kryptonian villains when I see this. I loved it when they used it for Rani.

Now I want to make a model of the Rani's console. I did try a wile back, but, I only got as far as a small center pillar gyroscope made....and lost.

I love how this is built atop an antique table! Still, I hope that table was just a yard sale item and not a true "antique" if you get what I mean. I love Doctor Who, but I don't want to deface valuable heirlooms for it. I assume everything from the legs up to (but not including) the color colored panels is the original tab;e. What about the black elements above the control surfaces? Are those part of the table or "set dressing" added later?
