As seen during the Mysterious Planet sequences of the "Trial of a Time Lord" serial, I 3d designed and 3d printed the L1 Robot that Drathro deploys to retrieve the Doctor.
The DVD release has a nice Blue Peter segment featuring the robot, I was able to get an ok angles on proportions from these two shots:
And the model in Fusion 360
With some quickly cobbled textures:
and the first printed version...
The tracks weren't modelled by me, but are in fact from an stl of some lego tracks - they don't move. The plan is to put some wheels inside the base out of view.
He has a little nut and bolt to connect the parts together, the rest of him is just glued together; he was originally 7 parts.
Maybe if I paint this one up I'll put him in a new gallery thread, but in the meantime, he's getting reprinted at the correct scale...
