glasgow boxes plans anywhere?

There are no detailed plans available for the Glasgow Boxes, as far as we know. If they do exist then the blueprints have yet to make their way online.

That doesn't mean that you can't get close with current available reference material. The main Structure is basically the same as the McKenzie Trench plans. The main differences is that instead of the rounded corner post moldings they simplified it with a 45 degree angle. They also used the GPO/Ericsson Speakerphone panel, which has plenty of reference documents. There is also the added bonus that there are at least 100 survivors out in the world so it isn't impossible to get a real relic.

I have a set of the MacKenzie Trench plans on my Flickr Site.

Using those details you can get most of the main structure worked out. The doors, the sign boxes, the roof, etc...

You will need details about the Speakerphone panel to complete. Those do have detailed blueprints in the form of the PA1 Pillar. You can get them from the Telecommunications Heritage Group (THG).
I have a whole thread about digitizing the PA1 Plans from the THG archives into 3D objects.

The Plans themselves will help with the speakerphone panel, but you need a little more information for the panel version vs the triangular pillar body version.

I also have a thread under relics detailing the speakerphone panel I own. Including the installation GA from the GPO which fills in the gaps to finish off the speakerphone panel.

I also have 1:1 profiles of the Glasgow Box pillars and other features I made years ago. However I Don't have them digitized, so I'd have to look for them to see if I still have them. Those would fill in the gaps between the trench plans and the Glasgow box. In any case there are enough Glasgow Boxes in museums across the UK that its fair easy to get to one of them and take field measurements. Well if you live in the UK anyway...

I did find a walk around video I did in 2009, its not up to current HD standards but still has value.

Its part of this album i nthe Glasgow Boxes: https://flickr.com/photos/etas/albums/72157622517385910

I hope all that helps.
If you have any questions please let me know.

So I managed to find my field notes from Glasgow.  I've put them on my Flickr site.

I will have to continue to look for the photos that go with the notes.  I'll add them to the album when I find them.

Edit:
I have since found the photos of where the profiles were taken form, and added them to the album.

Cheers.
