Door / Panel Splays

It depends which era of TARDIS you're building.

The Brachacki box - used for the first 10 years - had square recesses for the panels.

Later boxes had an bevel angle which I think is usually accepted to be 45 degrees, or sometimes less. You'd want to check the specific plans.

The 2005 and later boxes have had a bevel which only takes the outer edge off. Half way in the recess becomes square. This was apparently done with a router, after which the corners were chiselled.

The angles on the met box plans seem to be somewhere between 60 and 65 degrees (or 25-30° looking at it the other way).  I measured several of the angles on the scanned drawing I have, and they were all in this range.

Crispin,

Let me get this straight... so... for a Smith box, with the styles and rails (vertical and horizontal bits) on the doors and walls, with a 1" depth, 1/2" would be "flat" and 1/2" would be beveled?

And how sharp of a bevel?  30, 45, 60, or as deck5 noted, 22.5 degrees?

Sadly, Crispin is no longer active (you'll notice his name is blacked out).
The bevels for the Smith boxes are 45º corner knock offs.
I've attached an image of the most recent prop that shows this detail best.

You'll notice the windows and door sign are flush with the bevel, but the rest of the panels are more like this in profile in the light gray:
