Thought Coventry should have it's own tread here.

These two are probably familiar this one below (box 10) is on Flickr and is apparently in a private collection it's been beautifully restored.

Some vintage pics of Coventry boxes when they where first installed. The surviving boxes above In the tread must be later models or were adapted with a gable end, facing front roof.

The above photos date from 1928 and the one on the left with the door shut was located at the corner of Greyfriars Green

First clear old picture of a Coventry box from 1962. Hales Street with Sandwell Gate in the background. Seems to have had new windows fitted.

I have been working on restoring a Coventry police box over the last year for West Midlands police museum and it is due to be reassembled at the new museum in February 2022. I just need to source a light for the top of it. If anybody has any ideas or can help please get in touch.

Another surviving Coventry box! This one looks to be in the style the the original 1928 boxes. Rather than the post war versions with the gable end facing the front.

Another one. I think the high number of surviving examples of this style of box is due to them being a post war replacement design. The photographic evidence seems to back this up as you only find this model in later period images.
