Console build... finished... well... mostly...

Hopefully this works... (in bits rather than as a whole post as advised)

Rite... so... Started this ages ago... finished it quite a while ago too but keep tweaking... to the point where I'm now thinking of a violent restart (hopefully in a more spatially accommodating room :) *fingers crossed*)...
Anyway... here are some pics...

It grew from there with some mdf and bits of wood from here and there...

slowly it gained colour and random adornments...

I really like how this is coming along!    ;D  I love the plinth and the organic nature that this has about it.  What are your plans for the rotor?

Wow...now that's...wow.

I'd actually be afraid of touching a console like that.  It looks so organic I'd worry about being absorbed into it.

Very imaginative build and well achieved.

The plinth looks similar to what I want to achieve with my tertiary console. If you've got some of those hoses left you could make some matching roundels, I thought that was what they'd used on the new series but apparently not.

aye i could have unfortunately there wasn't enough left for bespoke roundels... and that which was left has become a planter in the back yard :)

Not bad at all, doesn't look like you could have put on any more controls if you tried.

Cheers :)

Although my general working theory about everything is that you can never have too many buttons / flashy things in one space, there are bits which have died / stopped doing there job, and been bypassed / worked over... it feels good.... but alas it's constant reworking which makes me feel like it needs a total overhaul... :D

Very impressive build, talk about console overload!
The sheer amount that you have managed to put onto the console must have taken absolutely ages.
Will look forward to seeing that video of the console in all its glory and with the moving time rotor * comments to remind you of that mental note to upload video!*
Keep up the brilliant work.
Rob.
