Does anyone know if this phone is accurate to the box?

Actually, if you dig around in the police box history section, somewhere you will find that the early versions had the "candlestick" type of phone. So yes.

It turns out that the MK 2 didn't have the candlestick phone, so I changed it to a more modern style.
