I’ve decided that if I build I would like to build the Barry Newbury tardis it looks to be the smallest of all the boxes but can’t seem to find any mention of drawings or plans
I’m new to the site & not sure where to find it

From the home page, scroll down.  Under the "Discussion" section there's a "Police Box" section.  Poking around in the "Police Box Reference" "sub-board" you can probably find some Mackenzie-Trench plans.

Below the "Discussion" section is the "Props: Reference" section.  Under that is "TARDIS Reference," which is broken up by box.  If you go into the "Barry Newbery TARDIS" "sub-board" the top half is reference photos from episode, broken down by season.  Below that is a section that has more than a few interpretations of the Newbery plans.  Here's one of them:  https://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=651.0

This isn't the most intuitive board to find your way around, but with a little looking, you can usually find what you need.

I'm sure it was easier before the forum hack and rebuild? Anyway, this is one of the rare places on the internet where folks don't mind answering questions like this. There's a LOT of (excellent) reference material here, so it can get overwhelming, but there's usually someone around who knows exactly where to find what you need.

Thank you for your time & trouble I was hoping the drawings would be better than that as there seems to be loads of detail missing are there any more I find it hard to believe there isn’t a place where all the different drawing are kept for the 6 or more versions of tardis ?

Hi guys, where can i find the plans for the 1980s tardis as this is the one im going to build.
Depends which box from the 1980s you are referring to:

The Newbery was used in various guises (with the addition of a stepped roof/replacement signage and even a new set of wooden doors) into Peter Davison's first season. If this is the box you want, the plans for it have been posted by Markofrani (see above).

The stepped roof which the Newbery Box acquired was drawn from the same mould as the Yardley-Jones Box (which replaced the Newbery version in Tom Baker's final season).

The plans for the various Yardley-Jones boxes are available in the reference section.

Note, there were three versions of the Yardley-Jones box;

1. The first box in was in use for seasons 18 and 19 (altered Newbery Box appears in Logopolis, Castrovalva & Black Orchid).
2. The second box which debuted at the start of season 20. (This second box may have re-used parts salvaged from from the first version.)
3. The third box which was made for season 21's "Planet of Fire".

The second and third Yardley-Jones boxes were used interchangeably (and their parts occasionally swapped between them) throughout the remainder of classic Doctor Who.

I hope this helps.

Gotta be. Center divider on the walls/door shows 50. It is around 1.5" wide. An inch is around 3cm. 50=5cm=@1.5"

If people are looking at Tony Farrell's plans for the various boxes, the following have been used:

Brachacki original and Altered Brachacki = Imperial dimensions
Newbery and TY-J = metric dimensions.

One Inch (1") = 25.4 millimetres (mm).
