I was thinking of some sort of rotor shaft and bearing collar done in wire frame, but yeah; I can go with a wire frame mushroom. I like mushrooms. Mushrooms are good. (Not those kinds of mushrooms! I can hear you thinking it already! Normal mushrooms!)

Ah... if only we knew what the rest of that entry said. Too bad Turlough didn't get a chance to finish reading it. (I can see it now: "Fleeing from the imminence of a catastrophic collision with the sun, a group of refugees from the doomed planet Earth, are rescued by the last battlestar, Galactica, as its fleet passes by, itself searching for a new home for its people. After countless millennia of travel, the survivors find the habitable planet of Veruna, and salvaging what they can of their ancient and failing ships, descend to the surface and establish a colony. End entry." )

I've noticed in some scenes where we get a fleeting glance that the screens sometimes show lines of small white text which appears to be BASIC programming.

If only we could read the whole programme hey?

I do remember having a copy of the book which came with the BBC model B computer (which I'm pretty sure is what was used for the console) and it did contain some sample programmes one of which produced the random coloured patterns on the screen (can't remember where I saw that one) and one that produced the curved square thing if that makes sense?

I think that would be some way cool research, and we could add to the whole sum of knowledge. and that could lead to more discoveries. Please, and thank you.

I've had a quick look through and although it is familiar perhaps my mind is playing tricks as I the programmes I mentioned don't seem to be in there.

In fairness it was over 25 years ago.

Wow, Mark! Those are some cool manuals. (I had one class of Basic back in 1979.) I've still got my old Radio Shack Extended Basic Color Computer (which the wife saved up her money for back in 1984 and bought for my Christmas present, and it was hugely expensive back then). It still works, though you've got to plug the output video into either Channel 3 or 4 of a TV set. Still, this should be fun to play with (in my free time ).

Anyway, what that old Color Computer can make out of this, eh? Who knows?
