I was wondering why the TARDIS appeared to be standing straight up while it was on a hill.

This was mentioned somewhere before, but I can't find that thread to link to... and I forget who posted it last time. I don't know why they did that. The hill wasn't that bad, and we've seen the TARDIS land on worse terrain - uneven, slanted, badly angled (like in "Journey" and the Classic "Castrovalva"), and most of us know the interior (mostly always) keeps itself righted thanks to the Attitude Control... which is supposed to be automatic, but as we've seen in "Castrovalva" and "Time Flight", sometimes it needs a manual nudge.

Personally, unless there is a danger of the prop toppling, I think it looks more natural if the TARDIS lands a little off-kilter when she's on a hill, and this hill didn't look that threatening. (Overkill; that's what the levelling was. Overkill.)

DoctorWho8 (it's less confusing than saying "Bill" now there's one on the show...) mentioned it in the Capaldi box Series 10 changes thread last year (http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=5156.msg60307#msg60307).

Looking for it I see we had a different shot of this from Knock Knock filming last year, in http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=6868.msg87326#msg87326 (the focus at the time was Capaldi's costume for Series 10).  Looks like the levelling boards were bare wood rather than the blue facing they have in this more recent behind-the-scenes shot on the current thread.  I'd guess they'd found a risk that they accidentally show part of the support on camera and it stands out less if it's TARDIS blue?  They surely haven't gone and painted them in situ, later the same day, so I wonder if they've got some blue material that they shove under the edge, that wasn't in place when they filmed that shot of Doctor&Bill?

Actually, if you look at the picture posted by The14thDr you can see the pot of Tardis Blue paint off to the left (I think that's the brush still sticking out of it). So maybe they did paint it part way through?
As for the levelling, it might not be so much to get the prop looking right (even though it does, and I never notice it was on a slope).. could it be to stop it wobbling as the actors get in/out?
