Here are a few grabs from "The War Machines" showing the Out Of Order sign:

The first two photos are from links in one of rassilonsrod's earlier posts. The others I found not long ago on a Google Image search. I hope some of them are helpful.

And if you want to use a similar font, you can use Helvetica Extra Compressed with about 70-90pt tracking space.

Interesting to see a mixture of pics of the TARDIS before and after its big overall (and the two versions of William Hartnell's hat!).

Reviving this old thread to add the new season 10 version of the sign from the trailer.

As far as I can tell they've used the same font as the original.

Here it is with perspective corrected:

The only difference I see is a thin border that may have been on the 1st Doctor's sign, but doesn't show at 60's TV resolution... that, and the original seems to be on thicker card stock - note how the new one is curling at the corner.

I'll post again when I've vectorised this version. Can any of you photogrammetry experts work out the correct size?

I'm gonna call mine done.
I've sized mine to fit portrait on an A4 sheet partly for simplicity, and because compared to the PTO and door stiles it looks fairly large.
I scaled the proportions based on it being a near perfect match to the font Swiss 911 Ultra Compressed

Edit: Thanks to brenk9carter taking a good head-on photo during the set tour (http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=7651.0), I'm confident that my sizing is right, plus it fits with the 'keep it simple' method of the props people making this: standard font size (144pt) on standard paper size (A4) trimmed to a near 2:1 rectangle

There seems to be a continuity error in those War Machines scenes* that I've not seen mentioned:
Notice that when seen with Dodo in close-up, the sign is nailed to the door stile, in the other shots it's nailed to the central divider.
Presumably the nail fell out while they were moving the camera.

*other than the Tardis being replaced between Dodo and Ben/Polly with a completely different prop...

I noticed that too. When I saw it hung on the divider but then all of a sudden it was on the right door, I was thinking "Does the sign have the ability to rematerialise?"

IGNORE THIS POST; DROWSY ME SKIMMED THROUGH THIS THREAD WHEN I MADE THIS POST AND COULDN'T TELL ONE OF THE SCREENCAPS WERE BOTH IN COLOR AND BETTER. If the mods wanna delete this post, that's fine.

Surprised it's not mentioned here, but the prop (or at least, a replica) made a return in the series 10 premiere, The Pilot, well over a year ago. (a screencap is below, unceremoniously stolen from the Tragical History Tour)

Um, yes... that's the scene I used as reference for my version above.  ;)
