A video was released where it shows a exclusive clip from the Pilot:
Untitled.png It seems the spacing on the "PTO" has changed and the St. John might have reverted to the Series 7B look

Great screenshot. Well I'm glad that I wasn't going mad when I saw photos of the new sign. I must admit, it's going to take a while for me to get used to the PTO sign's new look. As for the St John ambulance sign, I believe the St John Ambulance sign on the doors to the interior set had always kept is Series 7b look even during series 8 and 9. I might be wrong though as they did change the PTO sign and the tops sign on the doors to the interior set so they would change the SJA sign if they wanted too.

In The Time of the Doctor they changed it to have a white ring like it's was supposed to have.  I almost thought they brought back the dripsills when I looked at the windows.

http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=6014.0 Here's the reference for the St. Johns on the Metbox and TARDIS: 1963 and 2010 onwards. Look at the 2012 and 2013 st. Johns. One has a white ring which is Capaldi's Series 8-9 and the other doesn't have it which is Smith's Series 7B. I look at the Series 10 and it looks like the 7B.

Yeah I just looked at some reference images I could find of the series 10 box, it does look like the series 7b logo is being used now. It would explain why they didn't change it on the interior door as the other signs where changed. I just always found it odd that they kept using the 7b logo on the interior door during series 8-9 when the box had the logo with the white ring. Well then, that something I got to change on my virtual series 10 box as I used the series 8-9 St john ambulance logo.

If the interior doors used the 7b SJA. then I have to go update it. As for the exterior, we need a new reproduction now. I'll probably see if I can edit the original Smith/Capaldi sign from 2010-2015. You might see an update of my 2015 Tardis thread soon being renamed New Series Tardis. Well, I'll see how that goes. Also I think the box is a different blue. Probably Series 5 colour.

Everything here (the new spacing and lettering of the PTO sign, the St. John logo on the TARDIS Set Door vs. on the TARDIS Prop Door) has been discussed already in another thread somewhere.

Series 8 and 9 did have the Series 7b St. John logo on the TARDIS Set Doors; that looks like it never changed. It only changed on the TARDIS Prop Door. I haven't seen any really good images or photos of the Series 10 TARDIS Prop that give a good look at the St. John logo yet. (If anyone has one, maybe a nice publicity photo that shows the logo, please post it. If they have reverted the prop's logo to the Series 7b version I'll have to annotate that in the Table.)

I'm looking forward to the new changes. Also I watched the trailers and the box is the same blue that was introduced in Series 8. Wish they would paint the frame white though. I wouldn't know why they kept the 7b SJA on the interior doors in Series 8 though either.

Me too!. It's not long now until we can get more glimpses of the changes they've made. So exciting.  ;D

Not me on this one. To me the white PTO frame reminds me of the Pilot - which was fraught with problems during its recording and also had a pristine-looking TARDIS that didn't fit the description of "a battered blue box". Also it's part of the Cushing TARDIS design, and while I do like those films, they are a departure from the series proper.

A blue PTO frame says "'Doctor Who' TV series TARDIS" - which includes the 1996 TVM. It's been blue (albeit sometimes faded - or missing as on the later Brachacki-Altered prop) since Production Episode One; it should stay blue.

Just MHO.

Volpone

I'd like the white frame, but what really drives my OCD over the top is that they stay with the 2 different fonts.  Go all serif or all sans.  Don't switch halfway through.

I always got irritated by the switching of the font, but it most notably got me kicked on the TYJ with the hand-drawn last part.

Here are some screenshots of the St John Ambulance sign from the latest episode "The Pilot".

Spoiler

Here's a screen shot from the start of the episode. It doesn't show all of it but it is the closest view of it I could find. Judging by it having the white circle, it has kept its series 8-9 look.

And here's a screenshot from the end of the episode where all of the sign is shown.

I hope these screenshots are useful.

I was going to say that the prop still has the Series 8/9 look. But the laptop's connection got blown or something, it was slow at 5 bars!!! "Page not Displayed, page not displayed, page not displayed!' It wasn't good.

It also seems they changed the size of the letters and there's more of a white border. On the set doors, it's the same size as before.
