Interesting 'ghosting' effect with this picture, with the walls reflected like that.

Its almost as if the shot was taken from behind a window. The picture is too low to the ground to have been taken from the gallery, so I wonder what could have cause that?

If you look at the studio floor plans for Lime Grove (D), there was a 'dog's leg' where the Production Gallery was. Brachacki designed the full Tardis set around this dog leg - hence the 4' flat which runs from the back of the 3D wall to the side of the photo blow-up panels. I think were seeing the back of the roundels reflected in the gallery window.

(In the picture from Planet of the Giants, the Tardis set has just been set up slightly further along the side of the studio - i.e. so that the main doors are in the space occupied by Totter's Lane in the first episode.)

That would make sense. The image in the window caused by the harsh light immediately above the 3D wall bouncing back onto the gallery glass.... :)

Here's an interesting image I stumbled across while searching for (believe it or not) something not related to 'Doctor Who'. How that happens is a mystery to me, but when I saw this I just had to look at it more closely:

WarGames-PublicityPhoto-Color.jpg
Publicity photo from "The War Games", found on George's Journal.org.

Can anyone tell if this is a genuine color photo or if it's been colorized? If it is genuine color (or colorized and accurately), then it would appear that at some point during the Troughton era the Primary Lever on Panel 6 had its housing painted what looks like the same color red as the Stasis Switch on Panel 5.

To me, it doesn't look quite right, but then my stanky old wizzard eyes have gotten things wrong before. So I'm very interested to hear the thoughts on this one.

Definitely colourised - just look at the main lever which should be grey! The console should be green and the symbolic indicator lenses should be red. And, they haven't bothered to colour in the background either!

Colourised - Also Not the correct arrangement colours for the Maxwell Tartan kilt used in the 60s.281481_10150244791138722_1442666_n.jpg
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Yeah, I thought it might have been colorized. That red main lever housing definitely stuck out. Color aside the housing didn't even look right to my eyes. But like I said, I've been wrong about things before so it's nice to know that when I said it just didn't look quite right, it wasn't just me.

Interesting info on the Tartan, Nate. I'd never have known about that one either.

It would have been interesting if it was painted in red but in Inferno when the console was painted with circuit board style lines and the silver panel upgrade. Although it was on it's final legs anyway.

Is anybody able to post some pictures of the interiors from Marco Polo, The Keys of Marinus, The Aztecs, The Sensorites, or The Reign Of Terror?

Cura's telesnaps show minimal set-ups for the interior during Polo; console in front of a single wall IIRC. I'll try and dig them out. Wish I could oblige with screen grabs from those other stories but my stupid laptop is refusing to play DVDs right now.

Ok thanks, kert! Hope they turn up.  :D

Here you go Tigerman: Screenshots from Marco Polo (colourised by the guys at Loose Cannon).

Episode 3 - scenes of condensation inside the Tardis:

(I assume this shot was achieved by overlaying a picture of condensation over a picture of the photo blow-up wall.)

Episode 7 - scene of Tardis interior (overlaid with the same 'starfield' as previously used in Edge of Destruction/Brink of Disaster):

Nice pics Tony, but none of those are genuine Polo telesnaps (well, they're not on the Cura contact sheets at least). Recreations by the LC team I should think.

Gimme a day or so and I'll be along with the real deal. :)
