I was watching the latest trailer for series 10, and noticed something very familiar.....
Looks like Nardole is getting his very own sonic, and a familiar one at that:

So, is that the Character Options toy, or did they actually make a proper prop this time? It's hard to tell from the images. I wonder why they're using it when they just designed a new one... maybe to boost sales of the toy? I assume it will be used in addition to the new one.

Depending on how much screen time they give this prop, I reckon they might just use one of the CO toys (similar to how the War Doctor's sonic was a modified CO sonic.)

And how much are we willing to bet that CO will re-release this sonic and call it the "Nardole Sonic Screwdriver"?

Yep. That definitely looks like the CO toy. And comparing that image to my Fourth Doctor sonic screwdriver, I've noticed that the "bullet" in the centre of the emitter is black, whereas on Nardole's sonic, the bullet is actually red.

EDIT: The "new" sonic actually looks more like the Fifth Doctor's sonic screwdriver:

You know, if you freeze frame the scene when the Dalek almost shoots Nardole, you can see the screwdriver's battery compartment.
