Does anyone know the exact number of support 'columns' (per star point) there are for each layer of the glass stars?

Do keep us posted!

D'you have a link to that? I don't think I've seen it.

It's on the Five Doctors SE DVD 'The Ties that Bind Us' documentary.

I don't think anyone has laid out definitive plans.
There's a good reference photo here: 5 docs reference: Urgent Request / AWESOME gift!!
Also Jarrod's console is the result of quite a bit of research, so this thread may help: Jarrod's Five Doctors Console.

In my reference folderI have some Cad drawings of the 5 Doctors Console Stars in which there are 11 layers.   I can send you a copy if you want.  I have Jpeg and cad copies.  the Cad drawings will print to size from the program, the JPGs I don't know.  I don't have the measurements on the JPG's.

Karst, I can redo the JPEGs in Illustrator and add a scale to it, like my NS TARDIS layouts.  So when people scale it up, the lines will stay crisp and clean.

Thanks all.  ;)
The Five Doctors console seems to have been the most difficult of all for anyone to do hasn't it?

I mean, looking on this forum, essentially every fan built console of this version is unfinished.

I wouldn't read too much into that, though: not many people build full-sized consoles, and there are very few finished consoles from any specific era.

From your questions, it sounds like you're working towards an interesting project...

Looking through the various threads, it seems also the 3D modelling threads for the Five Doctors console seems largely unfinished too. Which leads me to believe this is the hardest console by far.

I've only seen 1 completed accurate Five Doctors TARDIS console room, and that's by Rob Semenoff.

If it baffles experts, I'm sure it will probably take me even longer!

I was planning a fan animation which would be essentially like 'Edge of Destruction' set in the Five Doctors era console room. The TARDIS would have been overtaken by some malevolent force, and I really wanted to show the rotor closeup. (hence the pedantic detail required).

Also, I'm a fan of dramatic fly through shots from the police box in and around the console room. Something like the Rob Semenoff version.

One day I hope to do animations of all the console rooms.
