why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

I've always liked the look of this gun. I think it was another of those speciality sci fi props that was hired in, as I've seen it used elsewhere, such as here in the Tomorrow People story which featured Peter Davison:

And in an earlier production where there was more than one of them. I had a grab of that but can't find it right now.

I've always been intrigued by this prop.

Are there any reference of the arm/handle? Pertwee has it open/exposed showing circuitboard. But is there a picture of them all closed?

Wow that is the same gun. What was "The Tomorrow People" show like? I don't remember it being on T.V. here in Australia.

Great grabs as usual, Nate! Thanks for posting them for us. And nice catch noticing it in 'The Tomorrow People'. (It's like noticing the 2010 console's Atom Accelerator on Lister's "Groin Exploder" in 'Red Dwarf X'.) Only one favor to ask... in this case, can we use the prop's full name rather than its shortened name? (Personal naming reasons... obviously. ;) ;D)

Chris, I can't say much about 'The Tomorrow People' since the last episode I saw of it was in 1983. Even then the only reason I remember seeing any of that episode was because while the Tomorrow People were orbiting Earth in what I think was an old VW Bus (if anyone remembers those vehicles), they were commenting on all of the space junk due to all different countries around the world sending things into space, even Great Britain. And then one of them said something like "Better watch out for a stray Police Box".

My wife used to watch it since she was home and I was mostly at sea during that year, but even she said the show was hard to find, and when she could find it, the channel airing it usually stopped soon after she'd found it. They were usually local independent, syndication channels, not major networks. She called one of the stations once to ask why they stopped airing it, and was told "Too many people complained that they didn't like it".

Netflix used to have it in their streaming line-up a while ago, and I think there was a New Series of it - similar to what they did with 'Doctor Who', only I think the New 'Tomorrow People' was more of a remake. I don't know what happened to that one. Only a few episodes of it aired on BBC America. The wife checked it out because she liked the original, but wasn't fond of the new version. You could probably find one or both on YouTube if you search for it: there, or on Dailymotion.

On the subject of naming - is it appropriate to call this the "3rd Doctor's Dinosaur Pacification Gun" when it a reused prop from Frontier in Space?

How about "A gun that the 3rd Doctor shared with Peter Davison's first wife but was also used by an earth soldier with plastic domes on his head"?  - You can't deny it has a certain ring to it (just don't ask someone to pass you it in an emergency

Hello all

Thought you might like to see my take on the dinosaur stun gun.
I think I got the dimensions pretty close in the end.
Quite pleased with how it turned out.

Cheers
