I don't know the actual weapon name, but it dose look like a tuning fork.

OK, Here we go;
Looks like they have used magnets to hold the "Weapon" to the "vest" holster as well! Holster fixed directly to the vest, not a belt, interesting.

The scene was quick, he grabbed the weapon but I was able to see the bottom part of the handle.

I photoshoped & drawn out a pic to what this prop looks like.



For a working prop I'd put flashing LED's in the dish under the sphere.

I made an update to my drawing of this prop. 



BTW: Did I make a build diary of this prop? I can't remember. If I didn't, I'll post it once I get my pic's together.
