So Peter Jackson himself purchased what there is of the TARDIS kit...

Everything else in the field of view is from Doctor Who ....
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Not sure, Nate, but in this video from The Nerdist, it looks like Peter Jackson has been collecting SF props from just about everything that influenced him as he was growing up. Aside from the Dalek you'll see in this, he's got one of the rarest props in existence: a hero HAL9000 Eye Panel prop from "2001: A Space Odyssey". (That prop is very rare because at the end if the filming, as with all of the productions Stanley Kubrick worked on, he ensured that every prop and set piece was totally destroyed so no part of it could be re-used in another production. So the fact that this HAL9000 eye escaped Kubrick's fury is a miracle, and possibly the only one that exists. How Jackson got his hands on it is a mystery.)

The video talks mostly about "2001" and the HAL9000 eye, but you can see a gold (New Series?) Dalek in it, and Jackson also shows off a similar-looking T-handle that the character Dave Bowman used in "2001" to shut HAL down. (I'd post a direct view of that video, but it's from The Nerdist website, and not a YouTube video.)

I don't think so. The handle is different for a start.

davidnagel

Completely random guess but didn't Tom Baker use this in "Face of Evil"?

I'm watching the Doctor Who's at the moment (in sequence), I'm up to "Underworld" so if I see it in any of them, I'll let you know, usually watch 1 or 2 stories a night. :-)

It looks a lot like the faux Sonic that was put together out of scraps for a Jon Pertwee photo shoot, which ended up in the pocket of a jacket at a Bonhams auction.

It does look very much like that - referenced in a thread a few years ago here:  http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=2509.msg34665#msg34665
