Good question, Steve (if it any of has to do with what we've seen in the preview teaser). But then, one might just as easily ask, how did Dexter build that massive secret laboratory in (and under) his ordinary house, in a typical suburban neighborhood, and do it all right under his parents' noses while he couldn't have been more than about 10 years old? ('Dexter's Laboratory' ) It's called "suspension of belief (or disbelief)": fiction for the purposes if entertainment. (Funny how no one questions how the TARDIS can exist. And even outside of the Whoniverse, just look at all of those Bond villains and the super lairs they've built. Scaramanga's complex in "The Man With The Golden Gun" had to cost billions alone just to build, never mind operate, yet he still wanted more - to take over the world (typical megalomaniac). With all of that money, if I had it, I'd be having fun rather than building a complex like that so I could take over the world. (Just think of the Who prop replicas one could build with a wallet like that! )

It's just a suspension of belief. Maniacal guys in SF/Action productions somehow find ways to build the unbelievable - in their garages, back yard sheds, attics, broom cupboards, etc. - just as the good guy always somehow finds ways to thwarts them.

Sadly not yet here, and last night while watching 'Dick Gently' on BBC America they'd changed their advert for "Power" from 'New Series premier starting November 12th...' to '~November 19th...', so they've pushed it back and now in the States we have to wait another week for "Power".

Lucky you! (I don't know if the States had that option. Usually it's "Not available in your country" or "Not available outside the UK", so I stopped trying that a while ago - tired of the disappointment. (I'll catch it on TV, and then get the DVD.)

That's probably forgivable, especially when you consider the lengths they went through to bring this story back to life for us. Remember the original "The Empire Strikes Back" scenes when Han Solo is being lowered into the carbonite chamber? He's not wearing his black waistcoat, then he' is, no... he's not wearing it again... wait, now it's back again... So even the biggest of productions can have continuity errors with clothing. (That error was corrected in the remastered version of "Empire", and Han's waistcoat is gone altogether.)

Let's just keep up hopes that "Power" proves to the BBC that there is a demand for restored stories like this, and that sales of the DVD not only recoup the cost of the restoration, but also bring in enough extra money for then to be able to restore more stories. If they start with those missing one episode first, and work up, eventually there will be just a handful left that have more missing episodes than surviving ones, and the BBC will have enough money from the sale of the other DVDs to start restoration on those. The tricky ones will be those stories missing more episodes than they have surviving ones (like "Master Plan"), or stories that are missing all episodes.

Let's keep the hopes up, though, as we're seeing some stories being restored like this that we never thought we'd see restored. (And we want the BBC to know that we are very grateful to them for the efforts they've gone though to give us fans these great missing stories intact - restored, but intact.)

So I caved in and bought the download version from the store.

Dunno what happened with the promo images.... But the TARDIS in the episode looks ok.... (except for the wrong colour phone panel).

The interior looks pretty decent too. The layout of the walls isn't right, but otherwise it's ok.

There's a really bizarre bit in episode one: The first scene in the rest room, Ben and Polly are wearing colony clothes and then suddenly they are wearing the clothes they had on in the TARDIS and Hensell says "Make sure they get some proper clothing"...

It's been recognised by the animators as a mistake that slipped through the net when they were reviewing the completed story. The whole animation process was ultimately a bit of a rush job, not started until April this year with a deadline that absolutely couldn't slip (aparrently part 6 was only completed on the Wednesday before the first episode was released!). I doubt they'll be able to fix it before the DVD release, buy they may be able to do so for the Blu-Ray.

can't beleive i just spotted this thread. im glad the overall opinion of the console room was that it was good could have kicked myself about the layout but it was put together in record speed i'll have to put together a page for the Shada console room soon

I'll get some official floor plans up for that later.
