On occasion there are instruments on the Console that are only seen for one story.
This thread topic is a place to discus and identify these Console irregularities/augmentations.

Examples:

Wheel in Space 1968 Season 5
What is that Box Meter on the Console?
Box1_zpsktnwfqhz.jpg
Box1
Box2_zpsev5edpef.jpg
Box2
Box3_zpskezkbbrf.jpg
Box3

Box5

Box6
Box7_zpsh2hoiizm.jpg
Box7

*Just a slight side note about the console room in Wheel In Space episode 6 : It looks like the Doctor Nicked a couple of background control panels from The Underwater Menace.

The Mind Robber 1968 Season 6
Was that meter there before? (*also it looks like it is the same panel as the box from above.)

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.

That spot on the console had one of the plastic screen vents. Maybe something happened to that vent screen, and so the production team kept sticking things there to cover up the hole.

Well that did happen on other panels during that time, so that is a good hypothesis.

Nice catch on that panel with the broken/missing grille, Nate, and thanks again for posting these "oddities". I think having a topic like this for those "one-offs" is a great idea (and wonder why no one thought of it sooner? ???). And I agree: great hypothesis, cobalt.

It seemed like a likely answer. If you notice, although the bases are still there, the lever handles on that panel are missing. Where one piece is missing, it just makes sense that another piece might have gone as well.

ROMANA: I put it there.
DOCTOR: You? You put a hole in my T? Never mind, old girl. Never mind. I'll soon have it fixed.

So I guess there is a hole on the console in the Celestial Toymaker, unless there is a hole in my reasoning.  :P

There was one more Secondary Lever, just to the right of the bottom Secondary Lever on that panel. What is missing and makes this panel look really empty are the rectangular "ribbed" strips that were on either side of the illuminated indicator and the toggle switch immediately below it. I'm not sure when those went missing, but it was during the Hartnell era as your following image shows.
MasterPlan.jpg
Note the two slider switches on that panel, and the missing ribbed strips that should be between those switches and the toggle switch. (Actually there was only one strip between those switches and the toggle switch; the other strip was on the other side of the toggle switch between it and the (missing) Secondary Lever - which is out of frame in this grab.

Rassilons Rod

With regards to the background panels in Wheel in Space.  I've done some research on those background panels.....

They also appeared in The Underwater menace and inside the TARDIS in The Abominable Snowmen. They first appeared in Daleks' Master Plan and later in The War Machines.

They started life in Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD - in the entry bay of the saucer.

Last time I've seen one is in The Mutants. In the background of the main area of the base.
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Nate, another fine set of images! Thank you! And I don't know if this will be of help when it comes to determining which levers or switches on the console controlled what, but I did notice these while looking though the images:

Panel 1
Ambassadors-Panel1Lights-01.jpg
The right-most light is on, while the three just above and to the left are off. (The left-most light has been replaced by a large knob.) And looking at the Secondary Levers, the left-most lever is down, then the next three to the right are up, and the last two on the right are down (see yellow arrows). After Pertwee walks by the panel...
Ambassadors-Panel1Lights-02.jpg
...the right-most light is still on and the third Secondary Lever from the right is still up (again, yellow arrows). Then we have the two upper lights (left and center lights) on now, and the two Secondary Levers (second and third from left) are down (see purple arrows).

Moving to the right to Panel 6
Ambassadors-Panel6Lights-01.jpg
We have the left Symbolic Indicator on, and the middle light on the panel's left side on, with only one Secondary Lever (second from left) up - see red arrows.
Then Pertwee walks past and flips some Secondary Levers (orange oval)...
Ambassadors-Panel6Lights-02.jpg
...and when he's done that...
Ambassadors-Panel6Lights-03.jpg
...we have the center and right-most Secondary Levers up, and the left side top light, and the right side top and bottom lights all on (see blue arrows).

This could give some indication of how the Levers (which were actually toggle switches with handles fitted over them) were wired, possible late in the Troughton era, or during some repairs on the console during Pertwee's first season. I know this isn't all that much, but it is an observation that I though some people might find useful.

And thanks again to Nate for making these observations possible with these amazing images!
