I wonder if its possible to see behind the walls at the Experience..... Dalex? Can you confirm on Thursday? :P

Sorry guys, I tried, there was no way to get behind the walls, not even by reaching.  Completely blocked off.

I did manage to get a bunch of photos and some videos of the various consoles, if that's of any use to anyone.

Oh and the Experience itself was awesome, well worth the trip to Cardiff!  :D

What?! :o Are you mad? Of course those photos and videos will be of use! (Remember? We... love... photos! ;D)

We're always interested in members' photos of the consoles and other props from the DWE. Each member takes different photos and each one reveals some different details, a few of which we'd never seen or noticed before. So please, by all means, post away. We can never get enough photos and we always appreciate the effort members go through to take the photos and then share them with us. So thank you for that, Dalex! (Now I can't wait to see what sort of photos you've got in store for us!)

Reminds me of the set display at the Longleat Celebration for the 20th Anniversary!

Heh, OK!  I'm happy to share all the photos I took.  We're heading back home today (so sad!) but I'll get them posted this week some time.

Cheers,
Alex

I saw it and ran up to it amazed. I am only an occasional visitor to the forum, so didn't know that it would be there. It's fantastic! For a moment I thought the original had been found. An amazing job. Well done! :-)

Wow! Great photos, quiettype5! Thanks for sharing those! (And maybe one of the Mods could change this into an Update rather than a Comment; otherwise the next time Steve (fivefingeredstyre) makes an Update to this thread, these Comments will collapse and those nice photos will be hidden from view unless someone knows to use the Expand Comments link to open them up. Failing that, maybe they could be moved into the Console Reference Section somewhere?)

Did you get any photos of other consoles, quiettype5? Maybe you could post them in the Console Reference Section under their appropriate console topics?

Just trying to help keep things organized, and visible anytime someone goes looking for reference materials.

Hey guys,

Just a short note to say I haven't forgotten about posting my photos!  It's just been a crazy busy week but I promise to get them posted within the next couple of days.

I'll make new threads where necessary as the photos cover more than just the time rotor (and more than just the 4th Doctor console).

Cheers,
Alex

As I never bore of looking at this, here's a new video I found online:

A nice close up of one of the restored panels at the end, with the sexy gold trays and that Logopolis Door Opener...

I forgot! I've got a few pictures I took earlier this month. I'll get them uploaded later today...

Lovely, thanks for sharing Steven. Do you have the second to last one at a higher quality? I'm curious as to the yellow section on that panel, supposedly one of the original pieces left from the console?
Regards
David

fivefingeredstyre

No worries, I'll post a higher resolution version of the panel tomorrow.

davidnagel

*third to last, not second. Silly me.

And thank you!
