I can't upload my JPGs no more. It says too big. Go under 500kb. I put 443kb JPG and it says the same thing. Have any of you guys gone through this issue.
Anyway, I haven't touched my builds since March.
So, I made the 8th Doctor's Tardis
Base is complete.
That's it for now, I guess.

Tigerman, I'm going to guess your issue isn't the "Byte" size (a.k.a. file size), but rather the "physical" size, as in pixels. The JPG files usually aren't limited to 500kB; that's only for GIFs and PNGs. The JPGs should be less than 2000 x 2000 pixels. So check the size of your photos. If they're, say, 4800 x 3700 pixels then they won't post because they're physically too large.

If that's the case, then make a copy of the JPG (so you can preserve the original), and then change the size of the copy by lowering the number of pixels. Try using 2000 for the smaller size and see if that works. If you still get the "file too large" error, then change the size again. Make the larger number 2000 pixels. Just keep lowering the number of pixels until you reach a size that's not too large for the Forum.

Usually you can find that under your photo editor's "Tools" pull-down menu. Look for something like "Change Size" and select that. It should give you a window with a "Width" and "Height", and the corresponding numbers should be in pixels. (If they're not, there should be a selection next to them where you can display those numbers as "Percent", "Inches", "Pixels", etc. Select Pixels.) Then enter a lower number in either the Width or Height. (If the check box is checked for "scaling" - or whatever it happens to be for maintaining proportions, all you have to do is enter one of those and the editor will automatically adjust the other to keep the image proportions right.)

Some editors call that "Image Attributes", others (like mine) have "Change Size", so look for one of those to make your JPG physically smaller. You can go slow, say in 500 pixel increments until you get the image to the size where the Forum will accept it. Then you'll know how maximum large your images can be and adjust them from there. (Always make a copy and adjust the copy. Preserve the large original because that's what's going to show you all of the details. The copy will be okay with us.)

I hope this is helpful (and that it makes sense).

Thanks. But oddly, all of the three pictures have 1041 x 638. Surely, that can be small. I'll downsize it though.

This is getting odder. Huh... My 1963 Pictures say 1600 x 648. The 8th's Pictures say 1041 x 638. 1963 uploaded. 1996 did not.
Now file sizes.

The file size is significantly smaller when it is shot in the black room I use. I'll just retake the picture.

That size should post with no problem. I've seen larger ones posted so I know you can go bigger than that.

This is getting odder. Heh. My 1963 Pictures say 1600 x 648. My screen is 1600 x 900. The 8th's Pictures say 1041 x 638. 1963 uploaded. 1996 did not.
Now file sizes.

Now that is odd; that is very odd. If the 1600 x 648 posted, then the smaller one should post with no problems. ???

Also, double-check the file format. I've had some images say they were JPGs, but when I actually opened them (to rotate them) and then did a "Save As...", the file format said they were PNGs! So I used the menu selection and selected JPG and then saved them. That dramatically reduced the file size without changing the pixel size.

Beyond that, I can't think of anything else to check. (Does anyone else have some ideas for tigerman?)

Roblox Screenshots save as PNGs. I go in Paint and Save As.. JPEG. so the extension is JPG.
Also shooting the picture in the black room is much easier.

The only problem I can see with shooting in the black room is that it makes things difficult to see your work on the TARDIS. The blue almost disappears in the blackness.

If file size is a problem, try cropping out the unused areas. I can barely see anything.

Oh forgot to add a pointlight... Failed at that..

Added the quarter-round corner posts and PTO sign and some bevels that I may declare done. PointLight this time!
