Now, a Star Wars, Dr Who crossover would be very interesting, would love to see a group of Daleks ripping through a squadron of Stormtroopers as if they were nothing!!
It must be great being able to set up & dismantle your TARDIS, mine literally weighs a ton & has so many coats of sealant I don't think any force on Earth could shift it!!

I cant give my good friend Dave enough praise for his joinery expertise.

The box has been designed and constructed so that it can be easily dismantled - fastest time she's gone together is a little over 30mins from start to finish.

As many of you guys will appreciate, it's been a real labour of love.

She can be completely flat packed with the exception of the roof which is one piece ( lantern detaches but the four sloped sides are permanently joined ).

Once she's built though she's as strong and sturdy as a solid structure.

Any one of the eight side panels can be seperately dettached in under a minute, making the possibilities pretty endless.

All of the Police lights work, the lantern and internal lights:



.... also has a 400w bluetoothed sound system to play landing / take off noises, DW theme music, Cloister Bell etc.

I'll post more info and images when I get chance...

Wow, gloyny! You really know where to land the Old Girl! Winston Churchill, Holly, an Imperial Storm Trooper... Who's it going to be next? And the Old Girl looks absolutely great!

The box went for a few months with the clear 6 pane frosted window panels, but I decided it was time to change them out for the "T" bar versions.



I retained the bottom left and right frosted panes, and I've used translucent black Perspex to achieve the look I was after - it's surprising how something seemingly so simple can change the whole presence of the TARDIS and I'm pleased I took the plunge after a lot of weighing it up.

These can also be blanked on the inside, so that when the internal lights are on, light comes through as it should but you can't see in - It gives the game away if people can see through the windows!

I've also finally got round to restoring my bakelite telephone:



As I've noted before, being a hybrid TARDIS ( Cheers Dino!  ), it's not accurate to any guise or version, but it's the phone that I would want to see behind the door.

There's still work to do on it before I finally fit it, but it's another key component off the list.

Finally for now, here's my take on the top lamp:



I've made this myself around a glass jar, and the photo shows it without the internal guts inside.

I've tried a number of different bulbs, beacons, and each give it a different stance - my favorite at the minute is a clear beacon.

More updates to follow...

I love this build so much, and the new windows set it off beautifully!

Thanks for the comments Rich - I know she's a bit of a "trailer queen" spending the majority of her life indoors, but I have tonnes of respect for you guys who have been at this a lot longer than me and have braved an outdoor build....

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.  As someone with an outdoor build, I envy people like you who have the ability to bring their TARDIS to other places.  Mine is even less mobile than the 3rd Doctor's.

The candle comes out easily via two or three little screws at the bottom (it's a battery candle), and the hole left behind is perfect for putting a light source through. And the panes are plastic so you don't have to worry about them shattering. Of course you'll have to modify the cap, but then that's what they did with the original.
