I've only just caught up with this thread (through long holidays and general off-line-ness). Many thanks for posting the police box details and I'd love more information about police posts PLEASE! as I've got one in the garden.

Only just got back on the net after being months off it.

Noticed the original link to the Police Box plans now asks you to register, so stuff that - I've posted them again for hassle free download here :

Cut and paste to browser.

By the way, is anyone currently building one from these plans?

I think Sorvan is basing his build fom the traditional Police Box plans.  I could be wrong.

Pleased to know that the plans were useful.

Now, is anybody interested in Police Posts?

I also have exact plans and stacks of photos of ones that used to be in the City of London circa 1987.  The units were all removed by BT in 1988/89.  There's only the husk of one left standing between Blackfriars Bridge and Cleopatra's Needle, and possibly one round the back streets of Mansion House.  Even the one at Picadilly Circus - which was removed, repaired and replaced in the 90s - has gone.

The BBC - to my knowledge - don't own the copyright on these so it surely must be fair game for all for people to build their own Police Post.  Standing about 14" square and 7' tall, they'd make excellent wine cabinet/bureau/phone boxes for the dining rooms.

Thank you very much for these plans. Are you still going to do the police post?  Not hasseling, just interested. :)

Lots of Cheer - wkou
